The Princess, The Scoundrel, and the Farmboy
I was lucky enough to be asked to do a retelling of Star Wars: A New Hope for young readers! (You can start reading it here!) I grew up the daughter of a Star Wars collector and pretty much only wanted to read SW novels, so you can imagine my excitement and terror! To ease some fears: I haven't rewritten the story, just explored the characters more in-depth and played with scenes that are off-camera in the film. My aim was to really expand upon the film script, and, to that end, I was allowed to pull and use material from a variety of official sources, including the radio drama. Enjoy, and may the Force be with you!
