The One With the LOST Reaction
I'm going to throw this behind a cut to avoid any spoilers... click on, brave ones
And then my mom tried to call me in the middle of the episode and I was too spastic to pause it on Tivo, so I did a pretty good rendition of this:
And I was all, GUYS!! We are finally going to get some answers! Dharma beer at my place!
... except there was only twenty minutes left, and they hadn't explained anything...
So then after Jack got stabbed and got to talking with Kate in Bizarro LA and she starts talking about leaving and somesuch I was all, WAIT. THEY'RE NOT DEAD, RIGHT? FIGURE OF SPEECH, RIGHT? BECAUSE THE ONLY PLACE KATE SHOULD HAVE GONE WAS BACK TO WHORE ISLAND. And then I chuckled, because CLEARLY the LOST writers wouldn't end the series with them all being dead, right? RIGHT?
AND THEN THE LAST FIFTEEN MINUTES HAPPENED.
BUT THEN I WAS NOT-NOT HAPPY, AND JUST CRYING LIKE SOMEONE SKINNED VINCENT AND FED HIM TO SMOKEY, BECAUSE OMG HOW BEAUTIFUL WAS THAT LAST SCENE WITH JACK AND VINCENT AND THE SYMMETRY!! THE SYMMETRY!!
AND THEN I WAS JUST TOSSED AROUND IN THE SEA OF DESPAIR, FRUSTRATION, SADNESS, ELATION, WITH ONLY LAPIDUS' MANLY, HAIRY CHEST TO COMFORT ME, ALONG WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT HE VERY WELL MAY BE THE HIGHLANDER:
GUYS. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL ANYMORE! AT LEAST VINCENT SURVIVED. AND JULIET AND SAWYER GOT TO HOOK UP. AND CLEARLY BEN AND HURLEY GOT TO HAVE SOME DUDE-RIFIC ADVENTURES--THOUGH WE WILL NEVER GET TO SEE THEM WHICH IS MEAN!!!!! AND ALL DAY LONG MY THOUGHTS HAVE BEEN STUCK IN CAPSLOCK, LIKE HARRY IN ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, ONLY WITH A LOT MORE PITIFUL CRYING AND STARING AT PICSPAMS ON TUMBLR.
Don't cry, Jack. ~They'll be no more Jears in Heaven~
This post has been brought to you by inside jokes with Roommate J and the LOST fandom, a lack of sleep, GIFs borrowed form the amazing ONTD LOST, and my inability to grasp the fact the show is over.
I might do a serious post on it later, but I'm not sure what else there is to say except that I loved this show so damn much, even in its worst moments. Thanks for six years of amazing characters, puzzles, and some of the highest quality TV around.
